L'Erin Alta

L’Erin Alta is a healer. And by healer I mean warrior. A healer to the healers. She’s traveled 23 countries, sat at the feet of shamans & sherpas, ministers, and medicine women. She’s gone through rituals and rites and she’s spent the last 17 years teaching women how to heal from the darkest of places. She’s a private coach, a world-reknown workshop leader, a writer, and a survivor of depression, loss, and trauma.  Here L’Erin shares about the key to liberation, making your way back from the depths of despair, how to start (and restart) your business from scratch, lessons learned from depression, brain surgery, and tragic loss, and how to trust yourself, even if you’re the only one.

It wasn’t until I hit rock bottom that I realized I didn’t care what we did in my family. I didn’t care what the family culture was anymore. It wasn’t worth the pain. That forced me to say, “I have to do what works for me. I have to do what makes me happy.”

Some things we talk about…

  • the key to liberation
  • making your way back from the depths of despair
  • how to start and then restart your business
  • lessons learned from depression, loss, and brain surgery and
  • how to trust yourself even if you’re the only one

“Doing what I wanted to do – that sense of liberation is what really ignited me on my path. And it wasn’t easy. I had to learn how to really trust myself. It forced me to get down to the nuts and bolts of my truth. And that is what gave me the tools to come back and say, ‘This is the life I’m going to create and I don’t know how I’m going to do it but I’m going to do it. I’m going to figure this out.’”

“Trust yourself. Breathe. And trust your truth. Even if it’s only trusting it with yourself first because that is where the liberation begins.”
